All artists of Florentino Jimón's family have been among on the most creative potters of Tonalá for more than 5o years. Especially the "granadas" he is creating are unique and his very speciality. For painting them he is using the traditional "matiz", a white clay-paint which is getting a greyish tone by and by, and then looks like a natural patina
on the red undercoat (engobe). Also his handpainted spheres (esferas) can be used for many purposes - for the decoration of trees or a mobile.
